Used clothes from Germany to Eastern Europe: transport and documents
From our warehouse in Bavaria, it is about 420 km to Bratislava and about 1 750 km to Chișinău. The documents depend on one question: is your country in the EU?
EU countries: Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria
Inside the EU there is no customs clearance. If your company has a valid EU VAT number, the invoice from Germany is without German VAT. You declare the VAT in your country. Before loading, we check your VAT number in the EU VIES system.
Documents: invoice and CMR consignment note.
Countries outside the EU: Serbia, Moldova, Ukraine
The goods leave the EU with an export declaration from Germany. In your country, a customs broker clears the import. Documents: invoice, CMR and export documents.
Goods or waste?
Customs and environmental authorities decide if unsorted textiles count as goods or as waste. The rules differ between countries. Ask your customs broker before the first delivery.
